Kelly Slater 'hungry' for 11th title as ASP World Tour resumes

The 2011 ASP World Tour is likely to resume Wednesday after a six-week break when the world's top-ranked surfers paddle out for the beginning of the Rip Curl Pro at Bells Beach in Victoria, Australia.

Why such a long intermission? Presumably to allow Kelly Slater to age a little more to give others a chance to contend for the world title.
